So The Games of Death was actually organized for Nasa to get out of her heels and do some sporty stuff for a day. RAGE decided to open it up for BRATs to join in on the
The day started out at Menara Star waiting for the bus to take us to Nilai. I didn't actually know what part of Nilai, but I trusted Niki and gang to not kidnap us lot. We arrived at our destination (which till now I don't know) at around 8.30am and the first event was track!!
Let me tell you the last time I ran like a real runner.
NEVER.
The last I came to running with dignity was five years ago when I was twelve. And even then I wasn't really fast. So it was pretty dreadful during the track event.
At least after the 100m run I could still breathe like a normal person, but then came the FOUR HUNDRED METRE RUN. Like, DUUUUDE!!! Who the hell does that?!?! I was panting and huffing and puffing. Trecia told me to imagine I was chasing after Taylor Swift while I was running, but it did nothing! I was thinking, Sorry Taylor, I can stitch, bake and sing, but I ain't running for you.
My team came in second anyway in the end. Oh, my team! It consisted of Trecia, Shamani, Joanne, Hann Lam, Wai Min and Niki. Niki was fast! I think he was the fastest among us, even though he was the oldest xD
Thank God the running came to an end and we moved on to tug-of-war at a different location. Oooh at least this time I knew where we were! The place's called Kota Seriemas, and it had a basketball court, sand area for beach volleyball and some other court for some other game.
The RAGE team owned tug-of-war cause they had like what, six guys out of a team of seven. My team came in second again, only losing to RAGE.
Next was basketball and the only reason we owned it was because we had Shamani, Joanne and Wai Min. I was completely useless on the court :( And I even got bashed on the face by the ball, resulting in senget specs. (I'm going to get that fixed soon!) We came in first for basketball! At that point, we only really wanted to beat team RAGE :P
Had lunch after that at a nearby mamak, it was pretty uneventful, except the waiter forgot my order :|
Beach volleyball was next! And I'm pretty sure no one knew how it worked. Everyone was kinda winning by service xD As in, after serving, the other side couldn't return it, thus getting a point. Only until the last two games, we started to get the hang of it, but still I think the ball only managed to cross sides twice. In the end, RAGE owned the beach volleyball.
Finally it was time for beach soccer. I don't think I've ever played a real soccer match before o.0 And playing on the sand didn't make it any better. Running on sand already took up so much energy I decided to stay on only one side of the court. But amazingly, in the end, my team beat RAGE to win the soccer round! Like, can you imagine beating Ian Yee in soccer?
We got some prizes at the end of the day and had ice cream(!), but right now I can only think of the PAIN my skin and muscles are causing me. It feels like I'm constantly facing an oven. My arms and face BURN. My mum cut off a segment of her aloe vera plant and I applied the gooey gooey stuff on my burning skin. Surprisingly it felt better and I managed to stop moaning in pain every five seconds. My muscles were treated to ungodly amount of Counterpain. My dad could actually smell me when he came into the room.
Gosh, it's going to be a long day.
